Coconut oil is the beneficial oil extracted from fresh coconut meat. A deliciously versatile ingredient, Coconut Magic’s Raw Coconut Oil is the perfect healthy replacement for butter or other oils in cooking and baking, as well as live-food and smoothie recipes.
When stored below 24 degrees C it will solidify and become like butter. Above this temperature, it quickly melts into a crystal clear liquid. As a rule, the colder the temperature, the harder the oil, yet solid or liquid, the taste and aroma is unaffected.
Coconut oil is among the most stable of all oils, making it an ideal choice for any type of cooking, frying, or baking (with a 350 degree F smoke point).
Enjoy buttery coconut oil in raw recipes – especially desserts and sauces.

The secret to good chocolate is raw coconut oil. Here we have the base of a simple and healthy chocolate recipe. You can also add any or all of the optional ingredients listed below to the mix for even more nutrients and taste.
Combine all ingredients together in a bowl and put it into the fridge or freezer. The coconut oil with solidify and voila, you now have deliciously healthy chocolate chunks. Kept in the fridge these will last for up to 2 weeks. Love and enjoy!
Cocoa beans contain flavonoids which are powerful anti-oxidants and anti-inflammatories, present in many fruits and vegetables, green tea and red wine. Flavonoids protect us from free radicals that damage blood vessels. Tests show that cocoa flavonoids reduce blood pressure and blood-clotting, make arteries more flexible, and decrease low-density-lipoprotein (LDL, the bad cholesterol).
Healthy raw chocolates have up to 660 mg of phenyl ethylamine. This is related to dopamine and adrenalin – body chemicals that heighten our body's physical sensations. This is a similar chemical reaction to that of the hormones released in our body when we are in love.
Cacao also releases the happy chemical serotonin in our brain.

I have mentioned only a few vegetables that can be used to make this delicious coconut curry. You can also add some more of your favourites. I have also made this recipe and added cauliflower, green beans, cabbage, celery and green silverbeet leaves. Be creative and add your own favourite vege’s. This can be eaten on its own as a soup, or together with some brown rice or quinoa.
Peel the onions and cut into small pieces. Peel the garlic cloves and hack into fine pieces. Wash and drain the broccoli and carrots. Separate the broccoli florets from the stem and cut the carrots into thin slices.
Heat 2 tbsp of coconut oil in a large frying pan. Gently fry the onion, garlic and add the curry powder.
Add the broccoli, zuccini, sweet potato and carrots, season with a little bit of salt and briefly fry. Pour in the coconut cream and add water to create a suitable consistency and cover all vegetables. Add stock and cover the pan with a lid. Gently cook for about 12-15 minutes.
Season the curry with salt, pepper, 1 tbsp lemon juice and curry powder. Quickly bring back to boil and then serve. Love and enjoy!
The broccoli, carrots, zucchini and sweet potato together with the coconut cream, coconut oil and curry powder give this dish an abundance of flavours and creamy texture.
Apart from the great taste, the vegetables are also very healthy and alkaline, as between them they contain high levels of Vitamin C, dietary fiber, antioxidants and minerals. Broccoli is also known as a good source of protein. Since coconut oil is so stable, even when heated it maintains all of its nutrients and health benefits, and also helps maintain and protect the good nutrients in the other vegetables.

This recipe makes mashed potato both vegan and healthy! It is dairy-free, cholesterol-free and healthier than regular mash. It is also a ‘fun food’ and a great way to have kids enjoy the many health benefits of coconut oil.
Natural Sea Salt or Himalayan crystal salt to taste
In a large pot, cover the yams or sweet potatoes with water and bring to a boil. Allow to simmer for at least 15 minutes, or until soft.
Mash the sweet potatoes to desired consistency and add remaining ingredients. Mix well until light and fluffy. Serve with a large garden salad. Love and enjoy!
One cup of cooked sweet potatoes provides 1,922 mcg_RAE of beta carotene (Vitamin A). Sweet potatoes are a great source of vitamin E, and they are virtually fat-free, which makes them a real Vitamin E standout. They also provide many other essential nutrients including Vitamin B6, potassium and iron. Sweet potatoes are a good source of dietary fiber which helps to promote a healthy digestive tract. They even have more fiber than oatmeal. Sweet potatoes are a complex carbohydrate which means they digest more slowly than white potatoes and therefore will not cause your blood sugar to spike.

Yes it really is this simple to give your body an all in one alkalizing, energizing and detoxing drink. I’ve received testimonies from people using Coconut Magic coconut oil who drink this drink regularly that have lost unwanted pounds without even changing their diet much.
Squeeze lemon juice inside cup. Add coconut oil. Next add a small amount of room temperature or cold water (filtered) to the mix so to not directly blast the lemon and coconut with boiling water. Add boiling water to the remainder of the cup. Yummy!
This is an ideal way to start your day. Drink first thing in the morning when your body is already in it’s natural detox mode. The lemon juice is kick starting your liver and activating metabolism, and the coconut oil is like giving your body some high quality fuel that converts directly into energy, and also boosts metabolism! The water is hydrating and a good flush for the entire digestive system. Of course these wonderful health benefits are not just limited to once a day in the morning. Your body may totally appreciate a top up throughout the day. I know mine does. Love and enjoy

Green smoothies are amazing. If you don’t already have a vitamix or a good blender go out and get one now! Green smoothies are such a simple way to boost your natural nutrient, mineral and fiber intake in a way that is easily digested by your body and absolutely delicious. Once again you can play as much as you like with the recipe and add your own ingredients. That’s what I did and now I play everyday. Here is one of my favourites….
Add filtered water to create the desired texture. Combine all ingredients inside a blender and blast. Share, love and enjoy!
For some more body and fullness you can also add:
1 tblsp raw cacao powder
6-8 cashews or walnuts
You can also use fresh coconut water instead of regular filtered water, or both for a sweeter hydrating blend.
Where do I start. This smoothie is a nutrient and mineral rich heaven. Not to mention full of fiber, essential fatty acids and proteins that are all plant based and therefore easily digested and absorbed by the body. Combining flax oil with coconut oil is known to increase the body’s absorption of EFA’s by 100%! Cucumber is alkalizing, refreshing and known as a beauty food because of its mineral rich silicon compounds content. All lettuce is a good source of chlorophyll and vitamin K. Romain lettuce is the most nutrient-dense of all the lettuce varieties and is an excellent source of vitamins A, B1, B2, and C, folic acid, manganese and chromium. Berries are an excellent antioxidant good for the blood and heart.
